This book was created as part of the final project for the DES115 course at UC Davis. The project focused on the work of Paul Rand, and the task was to design a book using a grid system while capturing Rand’s playful style, which often incorporates bright colors and child-like elements.

I introduced playfulness through experimental use of photos and color interactions. By incorporating three different colors, I was able to explore varying background and text color combinations. Since coral is a bright and striking color, I used it sparingly, ensuring that it wouldn’t compromise text readability.
