TYPE HIERARCHY STUDIES

This was one of the projects I worked on during the DES115 course at UC Davis, focusing on Letterforms & Typography. We were given the copy and tasked with creating posters on a 10x10 canvas to advertise to the public. There were strict guidelines to follow for each poster, such as using the typefaces Universe 46 and Univers 66 in 15pt and 9pt, respectively.

We were asked to explore the compositional alternatives with a given set of text. We were encouraged to explore the relationship between form and content, different principles and organizations such as: Symmetry, Asymmetry, Geometric, Rhythmic, Static, Grouping, Isolation, Contrast, Proximity, etc.
